Simple Insights Into Choosing Factors For Starting Carp Fishing In The Midlands

It may seem you’re not doing almost anything to disturb them, but fish are acutely responsive to noise. If you want to finally land “the big one”, you should always walk softly near water edges and keep your voice down when talking with companions. If the fish hear you coming, they’ll head down another path.
For catching bigger fish, try using smaller sized bait. This may sound odd, however the smaller bait gives you a bit of an advantage. Smaller bait enables you to have more speed when maneuvering within the water, which is required for catching a bigger fish that’s more prone to escaping.
Not too many years ago fishing was the biggest participant sport in the UK, although hard to believe more people went fishing than watched a football match. Its popularity has wained somewhat, especially amongst the youngsters whose lives now appear to be completely controlled by their mobile phones and social media. Many of them will never experience being at one with the great outdoors, will never see the astonishing selection of wildlife attracted by our rivers and lakes and will never appreciate the tranquility and peace that fishing offers. Sadly, that’s their loss but for those of us who are addicted to the sport the following website has lots of content related to fishing both here and overseas https://carpenterwksv.wordpress.com/2015/11/19/day-ticket-carp-fishing-in-sussex/.
Make sure to purchase a fishing rod that’s very comfortable for you personally. If you are not comfortable holding the rod and maneuvering with it, then it is not likely you will be successful catching any fish with it. It is a general guideline for the height of your rod to be similar to your height. The weight is a personal preference.
When planning on where to go fishing, be sure that you pick an area that contains a lot of fish. Otherwise, you could waste hours attempting to catch a fish with no success. If you are unsure if there are many fish in your town, ask a specialist.
If you’re fishing with live bait, you should be sure to keep it cool. When sitting in the sun, bait can often get hot, and also the heat the fish will feel will make them not as likely to take a bite.

The lake i mention is the BP lake which has been run as a syndicate water since i can remember by fishery owner Dave Mennie and is situated next door to Greenacres. It wasnt that long ago a good friend and Whittle Mere syndicate member Dan Hadman told me he was joining the BP syndicate to try and catch an elusive carp named the kinky back common, a carp which hasnt seen an anglers net since 2003. I think it was Tuesday 6th or Wednesday 7th May I heard Dan was off for his first session on BP, i knew he was planning on fishing because trying to phone him and getting an answer was near on impossible. Dan kicked things off with catching a stunning dark common on his first morning of fishing using Premium Carp Foods Crystal white pop ups. The common weighed in at 23lb 6oz which Dan was well chuffed with considering hed only been there a few hours. Later that day Dan was enjoying the evening with fishery owner Dave Mennie and also Steve Broad when his rod ripped off again and he was into another carp! Two carp in any ones first session of a lake theyve never put anytime into isnt bad in my book but what makes this extremely lucky was the fish that was on the end of the line. Ive used a quote below from Dans Facebook account as i couldnt put it better myself. No words can really describe whats just happened, or how Im feeling right now. Ive only gone a caught the kinky back common 39lb 4oz of true old English beauty! Its not been out since 2003 apparently so long over due and now a new lake record! Congratulations Dan from everyone at PCF youve displayed some epic carping skills to catch your target fish within the first day of fishing a new lake, youll have all year to relax and reminisce on a truly stunning lake.
